A club, a spreadsheet,
and a pile of missed grants
Pavilion began with a simple, frustrating truth. Grassroots clubs are run by volunteers who already give every spare hour — and there is real money out there for them, sitting in funds nobody has time to find.
So we did the unglamorous thing. We sat with a real club, Baglan Cricket Club in South Wales, and built the tools they actually needed: a way to find the funding they were missing, then a way to run the rest of the club without three apps and a group chat.
Every feature ships through that club first. If it doesn't help on a real matchday, it doesn't make it in. That's the whole philosophy — software shaped by the people holding the clipboard.
We weren't chasing the grants we qualified for — there was never time. Pavilion found them, drafted the application, and then ran the season too.
